Um... Yeah. This is somehow extremely funny to me.

Can anyone else tell me what is drastically wrong with this code?

First off, the condition is an assignment statement. If we assign the 'threshold' variable the value of the 'salary_sucks' variable, then execute the code inside the braces. Since assignment is going to happen 99.999% of the time when we're not dealing with pointers or something more complex, this is just silly. Maybe if(foo == bar) or better yet if(foo === bar) [thats, is equal to the value of and is the same type as kids]

Second, now we're assigning the variable 'goto' the return value of the 'com()' function which is the member of the dice object. Then we for no reason at all, make the program retrieve the value of the 'up' property from the 'it' member of the suck object, but do nothing with it.

Then, because we know that all languages with the use of curly brackets and semi-colons also use keywords, we gratuitiously use an 'end' keyword.

Lets invent a new language called Dice++

Call me crazy, but when I reach the ranks of HR or Management, I'm not hiring ANYONE from Dice.com. Odds are, they clicked on this banner ad. Thats just plain scary and demeaning to the rest of us who write code.

I really appreciate that people are trying to make an honest buck, but there are some things you should not charge a human being for.

I'm liking this whole concept of Open Source more and more every day. Not to say there isn't a time and place to make some bits, and make money from it.

I thought it would be cool to purchase myself an iPod. I have this horrible awful taste in my mouth now.

A) I have two choices to sync my music, iTunes or MusicMatch. Neither of which I like. My music is already meticulously tagged and organized on my hard drive. I don't need a program to do it for me. If I want to drag/drop my files to the external storage which happens to provide playback, more's the better.

B) My iPod nano has been 'alive' for all of 72 hours now, and it's already locked up. Where's the power button? Where's the reset button? I don't really feel like spending the time to find out how to reset it.

To reset iPod nano:

1 Toggle the Hold switch on and off (set it to Hold, and then turn it off again).

2 Press and hold the Center and Menu buttons for at least 6 seconds, until the

Apple logo appears.

C) When I leave Apple feedback on their site at this URI http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipod.html today. I expect to be able to leave appropriate feedback - They had no listing for my iPod model or my iTunes version. I had to list it in the comments text-box.

I appreciate that they finally put out a product I wanted to buy, however, this is not ensuring my already lacking confidence in the company. I'm probably going to take it back to the store at this point and go buy a competing product if I don't get some satisfaction by the end of the day.

I'm sure of it now that Apple caters mostly to mindless people who accept these product flaws as quirks. Sorry, I don't put up for it from anyone.

This is not by any means an original idea, but I think it came out well for 5 minutes in Paint.Net. My boss is a Porsche nut, and he was having me print some banners for use in the local porsche owners club. I also made this as a free bonus for him.

I’ve been having a pretty deep conversation with a guy I know about a Christian response to the ‘threat’ of Islam in the world. How is a Christian called to respond from the Bible? Should we round them up and kill them? Should we just be idle and let them take over politically? (and all that it implies) I think that there’s something in between that is correct.

I want to live in peace with all people of every religion. You have the right in America to worship as you see fit, so long as it does not affect other people. Our constitution protects you from that. Our constitution also protects a religion from allowing it’s members to murder anyone else.

I have a healthy fear that says, “yeah, that Muslim is taught to kill people who aren’t muslim in the Koran” “Yeah, that muslim knows that if he does it, he’s going to be charged with first degree murder and locked up for the rest of his natural life”

Why is a Christian so afraid of being killed for his faith, that he would rather take torch and kill that other person before he does it to him? Jesus did not come to save his people by using a sword, he came to save them through love and compassion. He let his own creation kill him, without saying a word in his own defense. Thats the kind of example I want to follow. You can call me a coward, you can call me a pacifist. I call myself a Christian, and I want to act the way Christ acted.
