One should not have to worry about getting errors like 0x8ffe2740 from IIS. It should just work. Microsoft says this is the problem. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;816944

Lets hunt the source of the problem while remembering All good sources of information come from the black-screen.
